Statistical Analysis of Air Pollution by Selected Pollutants
Pernicová, Veronika ; Durnová, Markéta (referee) ; Balgová, Zuzana (advisor)
This thesis analyses an occurrence of detected pollutant concentrations of nitrogen oxides, dust particles of the size od 10 and 2,5 m and ground ozone in years 2015-2019 in seven chosen locations in Brno agglomeration. In the introduction, the thesis describes basic terms, the issues of air pollution and relevant legislation. Individual pollutants are defined and also their effect on environment and human health. After that, the locations of Brno, for which the analysis is made, is specified. The dynamics of development of individual pollutants is shown through a statistical analysis of individual time lines. The analysis also focuses on the difference in the level of pollution during weekdays, holidays, seasons or rush hour. The quantities are also viewed from the point of view of the relevant air pollution limits and the influence of climatic factors, which significantly affect their concentrations.

Forming of solid pollutants from biomass
Havlínová, Denisa ; Štelcl, Otakar (referee) ; Baláš, Marek (advisor)
This bachelor‘s thesis is divided into two main parts. The first part is research and deals mainly with biomass and pollutants. In this section, we will find a two-dimensional distribution of biomass, a comparison of fuel forms and a discussion of basic pollutants with a focus on solid pollutants. The second part is experimental. It starts with a fuel laboratory, where the water, ash and heat content of the biofuels examined is determined. The following is an investigation of the dependence of the PM formation on the properties of the biomass, which was measured by the measurement of these PM by the filters in the collecting device, while the examined biofuels were gradually burned on the fireplace insert.
Air quality in sports buildings

Environmental aspects heating
Vypušťáková, Veronika ; Poláčik, Ján (referee) ; Baláš, Marek (advisor)
The topic of this bachelor´s thesis is ecological impacts of heating. The first part contains information on selected pollutants that adversely affect the environment and human health. The second part is devoted to the comparison of pollutants in boilers for solid, liquid and gaseous fuels. The last third part focuses on proposals for measures to eliminate undesirable effects of pollutants.
Optimization of Agro-Pellets Boiler
Kurečková, Andrea ; Jecha, David (referee) ; Lisý, Martin (advisor)
The diploma thesis deals with optimization of pellet boiler for agropellets combustion. On the Czech market are mostly available boilers for burning wood pellets. Specially adapted agropellet boilers are pretty expensive. The work is divided into two main parts. The first part contains a research of agropellets, agropellets production and combustions of agropellets. The second part is experimental and describes the combustion test. It describes the measurement procedure, the necessary calculations and evaluation.
Risk of Waste Combustion in Small Boilers
Kopecká, Eliška ; Špiláček, Michal (referee) ; Lisý, Martin (advisor)
The bachelor's thesis deals with the issue of waste combustion in small boilers. In the first chapter, the components of household waste are specified in more detail, as well as the pro-duction and possible waste management. The second chapter is focused on the formation of the pollutants during combustion and their impact on the environment and the human organ-ism. In the third chapter is presented the process of the operation of the waste incinerator and there are mentioned the limit values of the emissions that are released into the air. The fourth chapter deals with the reason for the origin and the comparison of the pollutants aris-ing from combustion in small boilers. Materials defined as household waste and pollutants released from them during incineration are described here. In the end, the results of the the-sis are evaluated.
Ecological status of Lake Baikal
Mongolova, Marina ; Komendová, Renata (referee) ; Zlámalová Gargošová, Helena (advisor)
The aim of this bachelor thesis was to study the ecological status of Lake Baikal. The research focuses on the main problems related to the impact of human activity on the lake. During the study, data on the hydrochemistry of the lake and its tributaries were analysed and scientific papers on the ecological status of Lake Baikal were reviewed. Based on the data were identified the main types of pollutants and places of their concentration. As a result of this work was obtained a more complete picture of the condition of Lake Baikal and were identified its main problems.
Hygienická kvalita ryb v 10 údolních nádržích ČR
ŠTEFAN, Daniel
The aim of the theses was to judge the hygienic quality of the most caught and consumed fish species living in 10 Czech water reservoirs according to chosen chemical substances (Hg, Cd, Pb, PCB, DDT, HCH, HCB) in their muscle tissue. The analysed fish were caught between the years 2019 - 2020. The analyses were made by the accredited laboratory of the State Veterinary Institution in Prague. To compare the pollution of individual reservoirs and to compare the results of the monitoring from 2006 - 2010 was as a reference species chosen common bream (Abramis brama). Further, five most frequently caught fish species were taken from each reservoir. The overrun of valid hygienic limit for mercury was found in 15 samples in total out of 6 localities (Lipno, Hněvkovice, Kořensko, Orlík, Skalka and Rozkoš). The highest concentration of mercury (2.948 mg.kg-1) was measured in the mixed sample of muscle tissue of asp fish (Leuciscus aspius) from the Skalka water reservoir. The results of the analysis of other fish muscle tissue from this reservoir proved its continuous strong pollution of mercury. The hygienic limit for the plumb content was overrun in the mixed muscle tissue of common carp (Cyprinus carpio) from Hněvkovice water reservoir in 2019. The repeated analysis in 2020 did not prove an increased contamination of the muscle tissue of the carp from this locality. Other watched pollutants in all samples were below the valid hygienic limit. Statistically important changes of the muscle tissue contamination of common breams by mercury in comparison with the monitoring from the years 2006 - 2010 were found in Lipno, Kořensko, Těrlicko, Žermanice and Skalka localities. However, most of the time there was a connection with different weight of fish used for the analysis. In some localities the increase of PCB was found in comparison with the previous monitoring. The values, however, were deep below the valid hygienic limit. Based on the results of the analysis were also counted recommended numbers of meat portions (170 g) for individual fish species from all localities, possible to be consumed in a month without any health risks. The limiting pollutant in all samples was mercury (or more precisely methylmercury). The results of the thesis proved that the hygienic quality of the fish in all fishing grounds is very good. Certain risk could only be a frequent consumption of predator fish of all sizes. The only exception is the water reservoir Skalka, from which, due to strong contamination with mercury, the consumption of fish cannot be recommended.
